5 TIPS to make sure your dream home doesn't turn into your worst nightmare:

1. It is a very good time to buy your home.
2. Make sure your Real Estate and/or Mortgage broker is licensed. 
3. Make sure you afford the monthly mortgage payment, property taxes, and home insurance. Don't buy more than you can afford.
4. Maintain good credit.
5. Be frugal --to overspend. Look for bargains.
